London Area Routes
• How can I pay for my ticket?
There are many different types of tickets and passes that can be used on Travel London buses. Full details can be found by visiting the Transport for London’s ticket information page.
Please note that, in central London, all tickets must be purchased before boarding any bus. If you do not have a pass, tickets can be bought, using cash, from machines at each stop in central London.
• How much will it cost?
Transport for London are responsible for setting prices on all London buses. Cash single fares across London are now £1.50, although this is reduced to £1 (peak) or £0.80p (off peak) if you are using an Oyster Pre-Pay card. (Prices correct at January 2006)
Travelcard and other passes vary in price – for more details see Transport for London’s ticket information page.
• How often do your buses run?
Most of our routes in London operate a high frequency service, meaning that there will be a bus every 6-12 minutes. Transport for London measure our performance by the length of time passengers wait, on average, at each stop, and we strive to ensure that these timings are adhered to. We do this by having service quality monitors at strategic points along each route.
• Do the buses have low-floor access for disabled passengers, prams and so on?
Many of our buses have low floor access. A service which is completely accessible is indicated by a symbol on the timetable.
• What is your head office address?
Our London-based routes are run from five garages across the south and south west of the capital. Our head office is at Walworth garage, at the following address:

Travel London buses operate primarily in the northern half of the county, serving regional centres such as Walton-on-Thames, Hersham, Esher, Egham, Staines, Woking, Weybridge and numerous villages in between those points. Our 441 and 555/6/7 service run to and from Heathrow Airport to serve some of those destinations, whilst a number of routes run into and out of Kingston. Finally, Guildford is linked to Kingston by the 515 (Monday-Saturday) and 515A (Sunday) services.

• How much will it cost?
Prices vary according to the distance traveled along any of our routes, ranging from £1.10 through to £3.80 for the longest journeys. Return fares, which are considerably cheaper than two singles, are available on all routes, as are our ‘10 for 8’ single tickets offer.
